About The Buckland Society |
As most of you will know, the main principal of the Buckland
Society when it was founded back in 1977, was to provide an umbrella
under which those within the village may promote functions and events
as a means of enhancing village life. Whilst we appreciate that not all
events suit everyone, we aim to organise a wide range of activities and entertainment in the hope that there is something for everyone to enjoy.
The committee meets monthly so if you have an idea of an event
that you would like to see included in the village, please do not
hesitate to contact one of our members who will be more than happy to
put it forward for discussion.
Time is given free by organisers and volunteers to arrange the
activities and any extra help is always hugely appreciated - so please get in touch if you would like to join the committee or can help out at any events.
Finally, when our funds exceed our outgoings, any surplus is
donated to local charities or to good causes within the village. If you
would like to recommend a good cause or charity, please feel free to
contact any of the committee members.

A walk around local countryside, ending with a well-earned pub lunch. All welcome for a healthy and scenic day out.

A chance to catch up with friends and meet othe ladies from the village, a lovely evening out for all ages.
